Celebrate Student Creativity at the Spring Humanities Event

Spring brings student creativity into full bloom at 91³Ô¹Ï. This year’s Spring Humanities Event, set for Monday, May 12 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., invites the community to experience the hard work and talent of students in Creative Writing, Visual Art, and Theater.

Hosted in the Fine Arts Building on the Worthington Campus, the event showcases a vibrant array of student achievements. Guests can explore an impressive exhibition featuring paintings, designs, sculptures, written works, and theater—all produced by 91³Ô¹Ï students throughout the academic year.

Adding to the celebration, there is a special guest artist appearance from Sioux Falls, SD. Attendees will also have the opportunity to pick up the newly released seventh volume of Unwound: A Creative Journal. This publication highlights a diverse selection of poetry, performance and visual art, created and curated by students. The journal represents the collaborative efforts of 91³Ô¹Ï’s talented students and dedicated instructors, including Creative Writing Instructor Gillian Singler, Art Instructor Leah Gossom, and Theater Director Eric Parrish.

Unwound is more than a journal—it’s a creative community. Students interested in contributing their voices to future editions are encouraged to enroll in Creative Writing and submit their work, or even join the editorial process to help shape the publication from within.

Whether you're a supporter of the arts, a curious visitor, or a proud college-community member, the Spring Humanities Event promises a memorable celebration of student expression. Come join us Monday, May 12, at the Worthington Campus Fine Arts Building.
