Professional Licensure Disclosures

91³Ô¹Ï offers programs that lead to licensure or certification for jobs in Minnesota. However, licensing rules and requirements vary by state, so completing a program here may not qualify you to work in another state.

If you plan to work in another state, check that state’s licensing rules before enrolling to confirm you’ll meet their standards.

Student Responsibility

Students are responsible for understanding how state licensure or certification requirements apply to their program and location.

  • Before beginning an academic program, students should review the specific academic requirements for the program’s applicable licensure board(s) in their state of residence or where they intend to obtain a license. Many licensure boards require more than degree completion for licensure.
  • Students with a permanent address in a state that does not meet licensure requirements will be required to sign a Professional Licensure Disclosure Attestation Form to ensure that financial aid is not affected.
  • Students must inform 91³Ô¹Ï if their location changes so the college can determine if the student’s program will meet the requirements for out-of-state licensure or certification.
  • 91³Ô¹Ï makes every effort to ensure licensure and certification information is current. However, state laws, regulations, and policies can change at any time. It is the student’s responsibility to confirm with the licensing board(s) in their state of residence, or in the state where they intend to obtain a license, for the most recent requirements.
  • 91³Ô¹Ï shall not be held liable if a student is unable to qualify for licensure or certification in any jurisdiction or cannot obtain a practicum or internship.

International Students

Before enrolling in programs at 91³Ô¹Ï, prospective students living or working outside of the United States should confirm with certifying agencies in the country of intended employment whether the program will meet licensure or certification requirements.

Relocation

If a student enrolled in a professional licensure program is planning to relocate to another state, it is their responsibility to:

  • Contact their program advisor to ensure licensure or certification in the new location.
  • Understand that relocation can impact program continuation, state licensure requirements, and financial aid eligibility.

Other Requirements for Employment After Graduation

In many states, completing an academic program is only the first step in meeting professional licensure requirements. Additional requirements may include, but are not limited to:

  • Coursework or additional training
  • Supervised clinical experiences
  • Passing state or national exams
  • Background checks and fingerprinting
  • Work experience

State laws, regulations, and policies governing licensure requirements may change at any time.

Program Accreditation

Some 91³Ô¹Ï licensure or certification programs are accredited by industry-specific accreditation bodies. More information about these programs can be found on our Accreditation Page.

National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA)

91³Ô¹Ï is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA), allowing the college to offer distance learning programs and coursework to residents outside of Minnesota. However, this membership does not grant reciprocity or exempt students from state licensing or certification requirements. As a result, licensing or certification requirements in Minnesota may not be sufficient to obtain licensure or certification in other states. For more information, visit .

91³Ô¹Ï has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements.
